I can hear you but it is a little harder, but it might be me I do wear hearing aids. But I thought I could hear you better a while back just saying. Thank you so much. I love how you teach. I am so excited for a skirt that’s awesome.

Hi I am from Portland, Oregon
Hi Linda :) Welcome!
Hello from Morocco 🇲🇦, North Africa! My youngest daughter is expecting a baby girl for November, and I'm beginning to knit first a blanket, like I did for my much older 3 grand laughters 16-17 yrs old! I would love to see some easy to knit newly born girls' sweaters....❤❤❤
How exciting! Congratulations! I don't currently have any baby knits, I mainly design knits for women. But I do have plenty of hats that'll work for kids. Happy knitting!
What a joy you are!!! You’re a natural. Love your projects and inspiration 😊
Welcome Chloe! And, happy knitting!
Hello, from FL
Summer has finally arrived in the mountains of Idaho, USA
Hi Libby, I am in Suffolk where summer is sort of coming slowly 😊
There's something special about an English summer :) Happy knitting!
It is very hot and humid here in Massachusetts. I am a new subscriber and love to knit. Looking forward to your patterns and information.
Welcome! Make yourself at home :)
I just love listening to you, I’m learning so much h before I start my sweater journey.
That's great Sharon! The Hangout is a great place to ask questions when you do cast on :) Happy knitting!
Cold and frosty in Tasmania
I've just bought ginger bliss. I love the southland yarn shades
There are some real treasures in there :)
Hot in Texas
Sunny & windy on the Westcoast love your designs
I have never heard of the color you are describing “overjean”. I live in the US, maybe it’s why.
I think it's my accent! I'm saying "aubergine" but you might also call it "eggplant" :)
Bought the Gingerbliss pattern. Such a beautiful design. ❤ where can I purchase the Truly Myrtle yarn?
Skeinz.com has Southlander Sport - it’s the base yarn and a perfect match x
Thank you! Happy knitting! Skeinz.com has Southlander yarn - it’s the same base and a perfect match x
I can’t find the price of subscribing to wardrobe toolbox
At this stage I’m planning to keep it at NZD38.50 per month - you keep the price you start on as long as you’re a member, even if the price goes up.
Libby, I am a new knitter I have made a tank. You are so clear . Please if you will and what I should make next, I would like to make your cardigan, is what I am thinking. do I go to your toolbox? Is that it? I just love following you, Libby you are so sweet. So bummed I missed the discount by a day, bummer
The discount for the new cardy is still on until the end of the weekend - so you're in time! A tank is a great start - I'd go with a sweater or cardigan next. Lots of knitters have made my Floozy and Timely cardigans as first cardigans. See what you like: www.trulymyrtle.co.nz/shop :)
Can Ginger Snap be knitted in sport weight
It's designed for DK - but you may find a size in the pattern that works for a sport-weight yarn. I'll talk about this in an upcoming podcast. It's the sort of thing we do inside www.wardrobetoolbox.com
Thank you
Gosh Libby you're making it hard for me to choose which jumper to knit ❤
Lol - it's a bit like that choosing which one to wear! Happy knitting!
Hi from very wet Cape Town. New to your podcast. Enjoying it❤
Welcome!
Where do you go shopping for your buttons Libby?
I have a fantastic like shop near me in Pukekohe called the Old Sew n Sew - she has a big selection :)
I thought that you were wearing your logo around your neck also 🎉
It is strikingly similar!!
I love that scoop neck on the card!!
Thanks! I'm really pleased with the fit of her :)
I was just thinking it was your logo too lol
I love your sweaters and cardigans! When I wear Dolly I always get questioned about which pattern it is!
That's so lovely to hear!
This pattern is next on my list to cut and sew - I've got the same dilemma re waist bigger size than hips, etc. I spend too much time dithering around what size to make, that I don't get things cut out. Good to know it's a great pattern, you've inspired me to get going on it!! Thanks Libby
I'm wearing them today! I'm going to make more!
@@TrulyMyrtle that's great motivation - yay, glad they're so comfy.
I just found you in the u-tube world and I’m loving your patterns. I want to start knitting sweaters and watching all your videos I’m learning a lot. I’m excited about making one of your sweater patterns. I like the fact they are not all really oversized. I don’t think I’m liking that look, but of course I’m flexible.
Welcome! Happy knitting!
I am new and would love knitting well. I love being with you here
Welcome Linda!
Wonderful podcast Libby.... gosh now I've got the sewing bug...I'm a big fan of the sewing bee xx❤
Oh yes, Sewing Bee! Me too :)
Coming late here! My first time. Sue living in Japan, nice to meet you all💕
Welcome Susan :)
Thanks for explaining, many designers say to pick a size larger than bust size which confuses me
It can be very confusing - remember to look for the "finished measurements" and then compare those to your own measurements plus the "ease" you'd like. It takes a bit of practice to get a feel for it.
I think I remember reading somewhere that if your bra is a shade darker than your skin tone it won’t show thru your blouse.
That's worth trying!
Hi Libby. I bought your Dreamweaver pattern and have spent the weekend surfing through Etsy trying to match your colorway! Can’t wait to start. 😊
That sounds like fun! Happy kniting!
Not a facebook fan, I’ll stick with my RUclips channel.😊
The only shawl I've ever knitted was a Stephen West now that was a challenge.... but I will knit one of yours next they are delightful
Happy knitting!
Wonderful video thank you Libby x
I like to follow you because I am a new knitter that I want to learn this in the beginning
Welcome :)
Try and look on "Misknits" by Pia Trans... both in english and danish❤
Lovely podcast :)
Love your colorway for the Dreamweaver. It would make a great kit if Union Fibre would make one up!
We'll try to twist her arm! I used an advent from a few years ago :)
So glad I found you, I have not made a sweater that fits me perfectly. I am definitely going to get a few of your patterns and watch more videos. What is the wardrobe toolbox? I am in the western mountains of Idaho🙋🏼♀️
Wardrobe Toolbox is a friendly programme and community - you can find out more here: www.wardrobetoolbox.com
Libby that BC bio balance is absolutely amazing yarn. I’ve got a summer top from it - tee shirt style. It’s so light and beautiful 💚
That's great to hear!
My granddaughter bust size is 34, but her shoulders are wide. What size do you think I show knit? Thank you.
Choose a size to fit her shoulders by taking her upper bust measurement like I demonstrate and then adding ease to that. A good fit at the shoulders with a little more fullness at the bust should look good.
Wish I could measure her upper body but she lives in Maryland. Thank you for assistance.
Love your jumper - do you have a pattern for it?
Thank you! I’m wearing Maiden. You can find her on my website: www.trulymyrtle.co.nz/shop/maiden, and on Ravelry: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/maiden-2
Why designers do not include hip measurements? Whay if the hip is wider thab the bust?
If the hip is wider than the bust, then I include it. But where the bust and hip are the same circumference, then only the bust measurement will be shown. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much for the invaluable info Libby
Greetings from South Australia. You came up on my feed. Say 2" ease, is it 1" either side of the bust? I want to knit a top with differing dyelots. Would helix knitting work to reduce evident differences of the colours?
The ease is spread evenly around the bust. Try holding a tape measure around yourself to get the idea? Regarding the different dye lots - certainly try helix knitting. If you're noticing very pronounced striping, you may want to add a third skein - it's more awkward but can make a real difference overall.
My problem is that I have pretty well no bust but I do have hips & I don't want to knit a tent shape [ by casting on more stitches around the bottom end ] so I always knit a garment that fits my hips & is too, too big up top. Can't see a way arounds that.
A-line shaping through the body might be your friend - just a gentle slope from your hips to your underbust through the body. Or vice versa if you're working top-down. It's something we cover in Wardrobe Toolbox too :)
Thank you for your Podcast and the sizing solution Libby, that means now I can go back and watch it again and in my case again, slow learner here but it does get through eventually especially when you hear it enough. Thank you for all you do. Take Care.
It's funny how you hear different things each time - I like to rewatch things too :)
I have made a couple of round yoke tops out of bio balance wore them all summer
Ooh nice!
